Associate Professor of Communication at the University of Utah.

My research focuses broadly on the intersections of science, technology, and security. This includes the U.S. public policy debate about cybersecurity, information warfare, drones, and the use of scientific metaphor in military theory, strategy, and doctrine.

I'm also the Director of the Edna Anderson-Taylor Communication Institute at the University of Utah and a Non-Resident Fellow at The Brute Krulak Center for Innovation and Future Warfare at the Marine Corps University.
