My children are asking me for food… and I have nothing to give them

I’m Eman, a mother of three children living in Gaza.

Right now, as you are reading this, my children are hungry.

Sometimes, they go to sleep without eating. Sometimes, I have to pretend that tomorrow will be better — just to stop them from crying.

As a mother, there is nothing more painful than this.
