Claire Ashman

After spending 30 years living in two high demand religion groups, Claire left and created a new life for herself and her 8 children in 2006. Since this time Claire has given many TEDx talks, media and podcast interviews about her experience in both groups and authored a memoir entitled Lessons from a Cult Survivor (2018). Claire is now studying at University of Queensland, exploring the intersectionality between gender, NRMs and how this specifically impacts women.
