Sylvain Charlat

I am a researcher in evolutionary biology, mostly interested in biological interactions, that is, conflict and cooperation, at all levels of organisation. My empirical work, based on comparative genomics, deals with symbiosis, genetic conflicts and horizontal gene transfer. I am also using more theoretical approaches to better understand the evolution of inheritance systems, the didactic and epistemic peculiarities of the evolutionary theory, and the very emergence of Darwinian systems.
